Build 01 of 04 · The Shop Car
Some projects are built for clients. This one was built to represent us. Our 2016 MK7 Golf R became the URBANLUGS shop car: the rolling test bed, the showcase, and the physical answer to "what can we build?" instead of "what comes standard?"
Under the bonnet: a Littco L560 turbo kit, reworked fuelling, and a Stage 3 ECU/TCU calibration bringing the drivetrain together as one system. At the rear, 17″ URBANLUGS Beadlocks; up front, our own Aerokit wheels, both on Nankang AR-1s, backed by a 6-pot/4-pot big-brake setup. The whole car was then rebuilt visually around an MK7.5 front end, carbon fibre throughout, and a full coloured PPF that ties it all into one unmistakable identity. We didn't build another modified Golf R. We built the URBANLUGS Golf R.
